Decorating a cake does not have to be intimidating and scary💁🏻♂️ All you need is a simple trick like this one up your sleeve and voila, you are ready to transform your cake into a delicious work of art🥰❤️
Ingredients-
Dark chocolate ganache
🍫/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
🍫1/2 cup fresh cream
White chocolate ganache
🍫1/2 cup white chocolate, chopped
🍫1/4 cup fresh cream
Process-
1. For making the ganache, in a saucepan, heat the fresh cream over medium heat. Once it simmers and you see tiny air bubbles take it off the heat.
2. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a moment to soften the chocolate.
3. Mix it gently using a whisk and combine everything together.
4. Allow the ganache to cool down before using it. It will thicken as it cools. Follow the same process for both the ganaches.
5. Transfer the white chocolate ganache in piping bag.
6. For the decoration, take a generous amount of dark chocolate ganache and spread it on the top of the cake using a palette knife.
7. Now, with the white chocolate ganache, create spirals on top of the dark chocolate layer. Begin from the center and work outward.
8. Take a skewer or toothpick and starting from the center of the cake, drag it gently through the spirals to create a web design pattern.
Tips to keep in mind-
1.Always create this design only when the cake has completely cooled down.
2. Make sure that the skewer is clean after every use to get a neat and tidy web design.
3. Check the consistency of both the ganaches is pipeable and not to liquid or too thick.
4. Ensure there is an equal distance between the white ganache circles to achieve a well-balanced web design.
