Tips for Cooking Roast Beef

Every year, Mr. Stan Edwards who was now 50 years old threw a party for the family. This will celebrate wedding anniversary with Agnes who this person has been married to for the past 30 years.

Since Mr. Edwards is a diabetic, there were some things that this man could no longer eat. Fried foods and sweet stuff were no longer allowed and everything had to either be roasted or steamed.

Luckily, Agnes was taking classes at the community center and had the right thing to serve for the party. This was going to be roast beef that everyone will consider to be a marvelous treat.

The first thing Agnes did was go to the grocery. With the help of the butcher, the woman was able to find a slap of meat that was firm and not that fatty.

Upon reaching home, Agnes went to work immediately. The other family members will be arriving in a few hours so everything had to be ready. The first thing to do was to brown the beef. This was done using some cooking oil with a little sprinkle of salt and pepper to give it some flavoring.

While waiting for the oven to warm up, the beef should be transferred into a pan. Some water can be added inside so some soup can be formed which will approximately take 3 hours to complete.

As it was being roasted, Agnes got some vegetables and started slicing some other vegetables on the chopping board. Some of these can be added in the pot while the rest can be prepared as another dish to serve on the table.

Agnes had to check every minutes to see how the beef was doing. This also gave the woman the opportunity to turn it over so that both sides can be cooked evenly. This person used a tong rather than fork so that the juices inside can be preserved for those who will be eating it.

The best way to check if the beef is ready will be to use a thermometer. This should be inserted in the leanest part of the meat. Since the couple was quite old, this couldn’t be too rare or too done.

Agnes wanted it just right so the woman waited until it read a 155 degrees that was just right and in a few more minutes, it will finally be ready.

Agnes then got this out of the oven and left it in the kitchen table to cool. Twenty minutes later at the same time the guests started to arrive, the roast beef was ready for everyone to start digging in.

Mr. Edwards complimented Agnes on a job well done for the roast beef. The children did the same thing and presented both with gifts. The celebration ended late in the afternoon since the kids had a long drive going home. Having the kids come and visit was the best gift that anyone could ever give these two on this memorable occasion.

Roast beef isn’t like other foods such as steaks or burgers that can be cooked and ready within minutes. It takes time to prepare all the necessary ingredients before it can be served to those who will eat it. By taking lessons like Agnes did, others will also be able to make such a succulent and delicious treat.
